Two sisters of Ghanaian descent have been “unenrolled” from a rural Victoria, Australia high school after they were suspended for not tying their hair back earlier this year. "In addition, this keratin-based substrate can absorb and retain large quantities of water, making it a promising growth medium to support seed germination and crop growth in hydroponics."
